Who this policy covers

This policy explains how Carolina Triangle Estates handles personal information collected through cteliving.com, including the home search at search.cteliving.com. Carolina Triangle Estates is the real estate business of Carolyn Graven, a North Carolina licensed real estate broker (License #319609) with Keller Williams Elite Realty. Wherever this policy says “I,” “me,” or “my,” it means Carolyn Graven and Carolina Triangle Estates.

Information you share with me

You decide what to share. When you fill out a form, request a guide, use the chat assistant, book a call through Calendly, create a home search account, or email, call, or text me, I may receive:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• What you are looking for, such as the kind of home, your timing, your price range, and the questions you ask
• A property address, if you ask what a home is worth
• Anything else you include in a message or chat

Please do not send sensitive details such as Social Security numbers or bank account numbers through website forms or the chat. If a transaction needs that kind of information, it will be collected through a secure channel at the right time.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, cteliving.com collects some information automatically when you visit. This includes your browser and device type, your general location based on your internet address, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and how long you stay. It comes from cookies and similar tools, described below.

How I use your information

• To answer your questions and schedule conversations
• To send the guides, listings, and market information you request
• To provide real estate services once we agree to work together
• To understand which pages are helpful and improve the website
• To keep the records licensed real estate brokers are required to keep, and to meet other legal obligations
• To protect the website from spam, fraud, and misuse

Phone calls, text messages, and email

When you check the consent box on a form, you agree that I may contact you by phone, text, or email about your inquiry. Giving consent is never a condition of buying any property or service.

• How often you hear from me depends on your conversation with me. Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or call 919-500-6159.
• Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can simply tell me to stop.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in information and consent are never shared with any third party.

Who I share information with

I never sell your personal information. It is shared only in these situations:

• Service providers that run the website and my business tools, such as web hosting, website security, analytics, scheduling, email, the home search platform, the chat assistant, and client management software. They may use your information only to provide their service to me.
• My brokerage, Keller Williams Elite Realty, and its Keller Williams systems, where needed for licensing, supervision, transaction records, and compliance.
• People involved in your purchase or sale, such as a lender, closing attorney, inspector, appraiser, or the other party’s agent, once you are working with me and it is needed to move your transaction forward.
• Professionals and partners you ask to be introduced to, including my California co-marketing partner for moves from the Bay Area, only with your agreement.
• When the law requires it, such as a court order or a request from a regulator, or when needed to protect someone’s rights or safety.
• If my business is ever transferred, your information would pass to the new owner under the same protections described here.

Phone numbers and text messaging consent are excluded from all of the sharing above and are never shared with anyone for marketing.

Cookies and analytics

cteliving.com uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages people find most helpful. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives information such as the pages you visit and your general location. You can read how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

The site also uses Cloudflare for security and speed. Cloudflare may set cookies that help tell real visitors apart from automated traffic.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Some parts of the site, such as saved home searches, may not work as well without them. Some browsers also send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no single industry standard for responding to it, so the site does not currently change how it works when it receives one.

The home search and other websites

Home listings on search.cteliving.com are provided through IDX Broker using listing data from Doorify MLS. If you create an account to save searches or receive listing alerts, IDX Broker stores that account information on my behalf. Links to other websites, such as Calendly, Bankrate, or a builder’s website, are governed by those websites’ own privacy policies.

How long I keep information

Information is kept as long as it is useful for helping you, and longer when real estate recordkeeping rules or other laws require it. When it is no longer needed, it is deleted or stripped of anything that identifies you.

How your information is protected

I use reasonable safeguards, including secure hosting, encrypted connections (the padlock in your browser’s address bar), and limited access to accounts. No website or email system can be made completely secure, so please use the phone or a secure channel for anything highly sensitive.

Your choices

• Ask what information I have about you
• Ask me to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask me to delete your information, other than records I am required by law to keep
• Stop calls, texts, or emails at any time

If you live in a state with its own privacy law, such as California, you may have additional rights, and I will honor your request as the law in your state requires. To make any request, email [email protected] or call or text 919-500-6159. I may ask you to confirm who you are before making changes, to protect your information.

Children’s privacy

This website is meant for adults planning a move. It is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has shared information here, please contact me and it will be deleted.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated. Any significant change will be noted clearly on this page.
